Ravensburger to Expand Disney and Star Wars Villainous Offerings

The Villainous franchise is expanding this summer with the addition of two expandalone games and a new version of an existing product. There are three Villainous lines: Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel. Each collection from Ravensburger features fan-favorite characters from the brands.

There will be a new version of Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil that features streamlined gameplay inspired by feedback from fans and players.\xa0

The new Disney Villainous: Introduction to Evil, marketed at a lower price point of $29.99, will have a refreshed box and feature classic villains like Maleficent, Captain Hook, Ursula, and Prince John.\xa0

This version, which was first introduced as a limited, Disney100 Edition last year, will make the gameplay experience more welcoming and enjoyable for both beginners and dedicated fans when it debuts in August.\xa0

“The Villainous community is full of passionate, friendly fans, who’ve used our games to introduce friends to the board gaming hobby for years, and we take that responsibility very seriously,” says Lysa Penrose, Head of New Games Marketing at Ravensburger. “We want to make board gaming as approachable as possible.”

Two new expandalone games will also join the collection for $19.99 each. While these games come with fewer characters than the $29.99 version that has the full experience, they can still be enjoyed on their own.

Players can expect to travel further through the galaxy this summer with the new Star Wars Villainous expandalone game. While the name of the game and details on which characters will be included are yet to be released, this will be the third addition to the Star Wars-inspired series.\xa0

Ravensburger will release Disney Villainous: Sugar and Spice next June. The game includes King Candy from Wreck-It Ralph and Shere Khan from The Jungle Book. There will also be a Target-exclusive special edition of the game with a candy bar-themed packaging sleeve and an exclusive finish on King Candy’s mover.
