Prove Your Loyalty in the Yellowstone Party Game
Games aren’t just for kids. For grownups looking for some fun social time while also celebrating one of the hottest shows on TV, Wilder brings us the Yellowstone Party Game.\xa0
Designed for 4-8 players ages 17 and up, this game is great for a crowd. Rooted in social deduction, the game challenges players to figure out who is loyal and who is disloyal while trying to solve a crisis.\xa0
Yellowstone is a massively popular drama about a particularly complicated family of ranchers. The show is packed with grit, mysterious murders, questionable loyalty, and more — and all of that is reflected in the game.\xa0
Fans will choose from 12 characters to play as, including many of the Duttons, Thomas Rainwater, the Beck Brothers, Governor Perry, and more. Each player then grabs a decoder and three solution cards, and one player draws a crisis card to see what problem everyone needs to solve — and here’s where the fun begins.\xa0
Players pass around the same crisis card and put it into their decoder. If they can see the crisis, then they are loyal, but if they can’t and the crisis card remains blank, that means they are disloyal. Much like the plot of Yellowstone, everything is a secret and everyone has to try to read the other players to figure out what is going on.\xa0
Next, players will play solution cards in response to the crisis. Some of the solutions will make sense, since those players knew what the crisis was. Others won’t make any sense at all, but everyone gets to discuss their suspicions, guesses, and theories openly. Players can defend themselves and each other, and those who are disloyal must try to hide in plain sight.\xa0
If a disloyal player is accused and found, they lose a point. The game ends when any one player gets -5 points.\xa0

The game features 50 different crisis cards, so you can play for quite awhile before ever repeating a card. Inspired by the show, the crisis cards include things like “John Dutton has a stomach ulcer” or “the Duttons don’t have enough money to keep the ranch.” Solutions include “call a doctor,” “call a lawyer,” and “use blackmail.” Some solutions played by disloyal players could have some hilarious responses if they don’t fit the crisis.\xa0
Even if you’ve never seen a single episode of Yellowstone, you can still have a great time playing this game. For those who are big fans of the show, there’s so much to enjoy. You can re-live your favorite moments from the show, bond over the best quotes, and even just get a refresh on what happened in past seasons.\xa0
Similar in play to popular social deduction games like Mafia and Werewolf, Yellowstone provides the fun of openly judging other players with a pop-culture twist to delight fans of the show.
